PADI Discover Scuba Diving

Discover Scuba Diving is a non-certifying introductory course designed to make your transition to the underwater world safe, easy and fun. You will participate in theory, skills development and a guided tour in the sea.

Prerequisites: fit for diving.

PADI Scuba Diver

The PADI Scuba Diver course is a subcourse within the Open Water Diver course. It opens diving to those individuals with time constraints, and those interested in diving in groups and tours guided by a certified divemaster, assistant instructor or instructor. Course price includes gear hire, loan of manual and certification.

Prerequisites: able to swim 200 yards and able to tread water for 10 min OR able to swim 300 yards with mask, snorkel and fins, and tread water for 10 min.

PADI Open Water Diver

Becoming a certified Open Water Diver is for an adventure that lasts a lifetime. This course teaches you, step by step, how to dive safely. It consists of theory, skills development in confined water, and open water training dives in the sea. Juniors between 12 and 15 may join the course and obtain the Junior Open Water Diver rating.

Prerequisites: able to swim 200 yards and able to tread water for 10 min OR able to swim 300 yards with mask, snorkel and fins, and tread water for 10 min.

PADI Open Water Referral

For those who have successfully fulfilled the theory and confined water portions of the Open Water Diver Course can complete the remaining 4 open water training dives to obtain their certification.

Prerequisites: PADI referral form completed and signed by the original instructor.

PADI Adventures in Diving

Divers completing any three of 16 Adventure Dives can earn this new certification. These three dives can be done in one day and the diver may credit the dives toward a PADI Advanced Open Water certification. Examples of Adventure Dives include night, navigation, deep, wreck, photography, drift, search and recovery, fish identi-fication and boatdive. Course price includes gear hire, loan of manual and certification.

Prerequisites: Open Water Diver.

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

This course introduces you to 5 areas of specialty diving: Underwater Navigation and Deep Diving, plus 3 elective specialty dives. Examples of specialty dives include night, navigation, deep, wreck, photography, drift, search and recovery, fish identification and boatdive. Course price includes gear hire, loan of manual and certification.

Prerequisites: Open Water Diver.

PADI Rescue Diver Course

For the active diver, learn how to prevent and handle problems involving divers and non-divers. This course consists of theory, confined and open water training sessions. Course includes loan of manual and certification.

Prerequisite: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, Medic First Aid certificate.

PADI Divemaster Course

The Divemaster Course further develops your theory and water skills as a Rescue Diver, Dive Guide and Instructor's Assistant in preparation for the Instructor Course. You will be asked to assist with Open Water Diver courses as part of an internship program. Course includes loan of manual, encyclopedia and other study materials.
